Sweden powered to the European u19 title with a 26-14 victory over host nation Denmark.

Led by game MVP Jonathan Gustafsson, ‎Sweden raced into an early 12-0 lead with Axel Ripa and Carl Gorranson securing the points.

A high scoring first quarter was completed with a Danish fight back. Lase Engel, and Nicholas Kaplan punctured the Swedish defense and helped edge Denmark into a narrow 14-12 lead.

As the rain started it was Sweden who appeared to cope better with the change in conditions. Michael Cox restored Sweden's lead and early in the fourth quarter, Gustafsson gave Sweden an unassailable lead and the European crown.

In taking the title, Sweden secured their berth in the 2018 World Championship where they will face the might of reigning Champions Canada, along with the world's finest from Asia, the Americas and Oceania.
