Costa Rica

The American Football Federation of Costa Rica are an organization dedicated to promote, develop and regulate Football in all its forms, categories and genders.

The organization was born in July 2009 as  a nonprofit organization with the conviction to promote American Football in the whole country, so that anyone regardless of social class can either practice, compete or just enjoy it.

We are also an organization committed to the environment and transparency, so much so that we are an organization recognized by our goverment http://www.icoder.go.cr/

The Federation has six adult teams as a First division league:
Bulldogs (2010-2011-2012 National Champions)
Toros (2009 and 2013 National Champion)

We  also have  U-18 and U-16  flag football teams and  U-19 contact teams.

While its territory of 19,652 square miles touches both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, the country is surprisingly accessible - one can travel from coast to coast in just three hours by car (or 45 minutes by plane).
Although the country is small and it covers only 0.03 % of the surface of the globe, it proudly shelters a 6% of the existing biodiversity in the entire world. 25.58 % of the country is composed of conservation and natural protected territory.
