The International Federation of American Football is delighted to confirm that its delegation to the FISU World University Championship will be headed by legendary official, Bill LeMonnier. The Championship, hosted Harbin, China, takes place between the 14thand 24thof June.
Speaking to IFAF.org LeMonnier said of the event ‘I would like to thank FISU and the Local Organising Committee for their work in preparing for what should be a fabulous 10 days of football.’
LeMonnier continued ‘Universities play such an important role in the lives of so many young people and to see the continued growth and development of the game in this sector is very pleasing.’
IFAF President Richard MacLean welcomed the efforts of LeMonnier, FISU, the LOC and the competing nations ‘On behalf of everyone at IFAF I wish everyone good luck. I have no doubt that the athletes, coaches and officials will be tremendous ambassadors for their institutions and their countries.’
